The Terminator T-800 (classic) is a fictional cyborg assassin from the Terminator franchise, first appearing in the 1984 film The Terminator.
Portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the T-800 is a Model 101 Terminator, a cybernetic organism with living tissue over a metallic endoskeleton. He is sent back in time from a dystopian future ruled by the Skynet artificial intelligence to eliminate Sarah Connor, whose unborn son, John Connor, will lead the human resistance against the machines.
Throughout the series, different iterations of the T-800 are deployed, sometimes reprogrammed to protect John Connor, illustrating a complex interplay of programming, free will, and evolving roles within the human-machine conflict.
